The MacArtney Winch Controller (S1110123) was deployed on 2012-12-04 at Patricia Bay. Patricia Bay is located in the Saanich Inlet, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. This device is a Profiling Winch. Profiling Winches are used to raise and lower a profiling instrument packages. Some winches can be remotely operated on-shore. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
