COMPARATIVE VETERINARY TRIALS OF 6-AMINOPURINE-BASED HYDROGEL PREPARATIONS AS ANTIBIOTIC-FREE ANTISEPTICS

Veterinary medicine increasingly seeks alternatives to antibiotics due to the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance. Hydrogel-based wound dressings containing biologically active compounds represent a promising approach for antiseptic treatment without the use of antibiotics. The present study investigates the comparative effectiveness of 6-aminopurine-based hydrogel preparations as non-antibiotic antiseptic agents in veterinary wound treatment. Experimental observations were conducted on animals with superficial skin injuries. The results demonstrated that the hydrogel formulation containing 6-aminopurine created a moist protective environment, reduced microbial contamination, and accelerated tissue regeneration. Comparative analysis showed improved healing dynamics and reduced inflammation in animals treated with the hydrogel compared to conventional antiseptic treatments. The findings suggest that 6-aminopurine-based hydrogel systems may serve as a promising alternative antiseptic treatment in veterinary practice.
