Datasets for individual acoustic recognition in birds

Individually labeled raw audio recordings of red-tailed black cockatoo female begging calls (16 individuals) little penguin exhalant display calls (15 nests) as well as BirdNET and Google-Perch embeddings of red-tailed black cockatoo female begging calls (16 individuals) little penguin exhalant display calls (15 nests) little owl territorials calls (16 individuals) tree pipit songs (10 individuals) chiffchaff songs (13 individuals) to accompany the work: https://doi.org/10.1101/2024.12.18.629284. The little owl, tree pipit and chiffchaff raw audio recordings are available at https://zenodo.org/records/1413495. For more information, please see the README.txt file as well as the accompanying work. The metadata is also available in an EML-standard xml format (eml.xml). Once unzipped, the 'dataset' folder should be approximately 1.06 GB. EDIT: (November 11th, 2025) Additional little penguin vocalisations recorded on different nights have now been included in a new folder titled "littlepenguin-display_call-exhale_extra-days". The README.txt, as well as the expected unzipped folder size, have been updated to reflected this.
