该品种于1964年发现， 1965年定名， 经过17年3代引种试验和子代鉴定证明， 其盛果期早、丛生性强、产量高、遗传性相对稳定， 一般亩产桐油 10—20公斤， 盛果期亩产可达30公斤， 比其他品种增产1倍。经过多年试验， 摸索出一套完整的栽培技术， 于1981年开始在全国16省、区引种栽培， 推广面积达13万多公顷， 社会经济效益显普。

This variety was discovered in 1964 and officially named in 1965. It was verified through 17 years of introduction trials across three generations and progeny identification to feature early full fruiting stage, vigorous clumping growth, high yield, and relatively stable heredity. Typically, its per-mu yield of tung oil ranges from 10 to 20 kg, and it can reach 30 kg during the full fruiting period, doubling the yield of other varieties. After years of experimental research, a complete set of cultivation techniques was developed. Starting in 1981, it was introduced and cultivated in 16 provinces and autonomous regions across the country, with a promoted cultivation area exceeding 130,000 hectares, yielding remarkable social and economic benefits.
