Nancye Kent Perry Guide to Records

The Nancye Kent Perry Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Nancye Kent Perry, an entomologist who worked in various government departments and scientific organisations in Australia and England and later concentrated on her painting, working with the Heidelberg Art Group and others. The collection documents Perry's life, including her education and scientific career, to her later life as an artist and her interest in dog training. The collection includes a large quantity of correspondence with family members, friends and colleagues in England and her husband. The collection documented by the Guide consists of approximately 745 inventory items, mostly paper format files, grouped into 13 series. The total collection occupies approximately 980 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent).

The Guide is the output of a research database. It was originally produced in paper format by the Australian Science Archives Project in 1987. An updated version of the Guide was published online by the eScholarship Research Centre in March 2010.

The records are held by the State Library of Victoria (MS 13758). The collection was listed by Anne Holloway, Michael Jones, Gavan McCarthy, Ailie Smith, Jenny Smith and Rachel Tropea.
