Specialized disease-specific dataset for type 2 diabetes mellitus treated by renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioners is sourced from the outpatient and inpatient medical treatment processes of Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between 2023 and 2025. It primarily contains basic demographic information of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, consultation timestamps, TCM syndrome differentiation types, traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, and non-pharmacological treatment methods. The current dataset comprises 22,139 patients, all of which are structured data that authentically reflects the continuous disease course information of patients from their initial consultation to follow-up visits.

The data is sourced from the hospital's Hospital Information System (HIS), entered by clinical staff in accordance with standardized protocols, and formatted as structured data after undergoing field validation, missing value handling, and consistency checks.
