资源简介:
This study aimed to explore the problems in English pronunciation and examine the factors causing the difficulties in English pronunciation in Thai EFL students. The population consisted of 22 second-year students enrolled in the Master of Career English for International Communication program (CEIC) at Thammasat University. A questionnaire was used as the investigation tool for gathering the data. According to the study's findings, the most common difficulty in English pronunciation is supra-segmental (2.96 mean score), followed by segmental phonemes (consonant and vowel sounds) (2.68 mean score). Also, it could be inferred that the most significant factor causing the problems in English pronunciation in Thai EFL students is teaching methodology. Furthermore, CEIC students have different experience backgrounds in their English education. Also, the institute might use the results to conduct a pronunciation class to enhance students' pronunciation ability in the future.
