The welfare state and incentives, 1993-1994

The primary purpose of this study is to collect information on the employment situation. How many are employed, unemployed, enrolled in education, retired, early retired etc.? The respondents’ will be asked about their educational background and their working hours. Furthermore the study will examine how the respondents found a new job after being fired. Additional questions were added to the questionnaire in the fall of 1993. Unemployed respondents were asked why they had been fired. Employed respondents were asked if they had been out of work and how they had found a new job. The data was collected among a sample survey population using a structured questionnaire. Furthermore, the study included registry data available through Statistics Denmark. These registry data which is derived from other data bases is not available through DDA, but can be obtained from Statistics Denmark. This study has an identification number which makes it possible to connect the data file with the registry data from Statistics Denmark, should it be needed. The technical description (machine readable) of the registry data is available through DDA.
