Sigma factor B2 is one of 13 sigma factors in this cyanobacterium. To determin the SigB2 regulon, transcriptional differences between a sigB2 mutant and overexpression strain were determined in this study. Analysis used RNA isolated from exponentially grown sigB2 mutant (M) and sigB2 overexpression (OE) strains to maximize gene expression changes in the SigB2 regulon. Comparisons were made using data from 4 arrays containing dye swaps of two biological samples.
