Comparative study of gut and ambient microbial community in Eriocheir sinensis from two different culture modes (SEDIMENT)

The Chinese mitten crab is one of the most important freshwater crustaceans in China due to its commercial and ecological value. To maintain the sustainable development of the rice and Chinese mitten crab aquaculture industry, the rice-crab coculture mode (RCC) has been developed and promoted for decades in northern China. In this project, we compared the crab gut microbiota (18 samples each), water microbiota (3 samples each), and sediment (3 samples each) from two culture modes, including RCC and traditional pond farming (PF) in Panjin City, northeast China.
