Fungal community structure of ivory sealed by silicone rubber at Jinsha Site

In order to protect the ancient ivory excavated from the Jinsha site, a silicone rubber material offering both sealing and stability properties was used, effectively extending the preservation time. However, over time, the ivory sealed in silicone exhibited fuzzy substances on its surface and discoloration of the silicone rubber, posing a threat to both the display and preservation of the ivory.
