On-demand removal of nano-chitosan/sodium alginate composite hemostatic sponge via metal ion capture

This study cleverly designed an easily removable chitosan/alginate composite hemostatic sponge using metal ion crosslinking and de-crosslinking strategies. The composite sponge rapidly expands and compresses the bleeding site after blood absorption.
