Miyqal: Towards a Cosmic Anthropology This text is not merely an academic research paper, nor is it a homiletic sermon. It is an attempt to formulate a conceptual Miyqal (intellectual framework/discourse) that establishes a new vision of the human being. A vision that does not reduce the human to biological matter (as materialism does), nor elevates them above it to a detached spiritual heaven (as some dualisms do). Instead, it sees the human as a being extended between heaven and dust, between matter and memory, between geology and narrative. We are not here to prove the Verse through science for faith requires no proof nor are we interpreting science through religion, as each has its own domain. We are searching for Harmony: for those points where the truth of faith meets the cosmic truth, not to make one an evidence for the other, but to see how the universe itself, with its rare chemical composition, carries a signature that makes human existence possible, and perhaps even intended. The Miyqal we present is a call to think of the human as an Isotopic Being: a being whose atoms carry the fingerprint of the place they came from; as a Narrative Being: a being who does not die with the death of the body because their language and memory persist; and as a Sovereign Being: a being capable of breaking the logic of matter for the sake of meaning. This is a call for a new anthropology a Cosmic Anthropology that places the human in their rightful position: neither a master of the universe nor a slave to its matter, but a Shaheed (in the sense of a witness) to the beauty of creation and the rarity of existence. Abstract This research presents a philosophical reflection on the relationship between humans and the Earth, inspired by the harmony between the Quranic verse (From it We created you, and into it We shall return you) (Ta-Ha: 55) and recent scientific discoveries in planetary physics. The research draws on a study published in the journal Nature Astronomy (Walton et al., 2026), which confirms that Earth is situated in a rare Chemical Habitable Zone, where moderate oxidation conditions during core formation allowed phosphorus (the essential element in DNA) to remain available in the mantle for life. This discovery grants dust a new existential dimension: the dust from which we were created is not just local soil, but the product of a rare cosmic event. The research stems from this harmony to establish a philosophical vision resting on three pillars: • Isotopic Identity: Biological matter forming the body carries geographical isotopic fingerprints (such as Strontium and Oxygen), making human identity a geo-chemical entity before it is psychological or social. • Narrative Trace after Material Decay: Where the name, language, and memory remain as an existential layer parallel to matter, not decaying with the body’s dissolution, forming the continuity of identity through time. • Sovereignty as a Veto against the Selfishness of Matter: Human consciousness is capable of breaking the logic of biological matter which naturally tends to favor the core (offspring) at the expense of branches (relatives) and redirecting it towards a broader moral meaning. The study presents an interpretative model (B + F = N_f) that integrates these levels, proposing that the return to dust is not a physical necessity in the narrow sense, but a symbolic closure of the cycle of the cosmic identity of the human, who remains a being extended between heaven and dust, and between matter and memory.
