资源简介:
The 1998 - 1999 ISCAT South Pole observational data are available on one
CD-ROM. The aerosol data, trace gas data, and photolyitc rate
coefficients are separated into three directories: Aerosol,
TraceGases, and j-values. In the Aerosol directory, there are two
sub-directories containing ASCII data files and corresponding readme
files describing the data format, measurement techniques, precisions
and accuracies, and detection limits. One subdirectory has the
aerosol size distribution data, and another one provides filter
measurements of aerosol ions and nuclides. Some of the detailed
description of project ISCAT can be found in the special section in
GRL October 1, 2000.
The ISCAT data CD is available by contacting Douglas D. Davis:

The ISCAT 1998 field observations went from early December 1998 to early
January 1999 at the South Pole. All aerosol data was collected from the roof
of the Atmospheric Research Observatory (ARO) building. The aerosol filter
sampling line was about 13 meter above the snow surface and extended 1 - 2 m
from the building facing the prevailing wind. This typically was out of the
"clean air sector" (0 - 120?, e.g., see Davis et al. [2001]).
The aerosol size distribution measurement samples were collected from
the NOAA stack on the roof of the ARO building, about 16 m above the
snow surface.
