A beneficiary of the increased intervention (BIM) is a person who receives higher reimbursement for their healthcare, mainly due to a precarious situation. In addition to the reduction in healthcare costs, beneficiaries of the increased intervention are entitled to other benefits, such as reductions in public transport and social tariffs for energy. Therefore, being a beneficiary of the BIM generally indicates a precarious situation. This indicator is available by age group and gender. It is one of the only poverty indicators that is also available to minors. The dependent children of a beneficiary of the increased assistance are also.
