This study investigates the transcriptomic responses of the oomycete pathogen Phytophthora capsici to the plant-derived isoflavonoid daidzin and its nanoformulated derivatives, which induce apoptosis-like programmed cell death (OALD). RNA sequencing was performed to characterize global gene expression changes associated with daidzin exposure, nano- and liposomal delivery, and comparative controls. The dataset aims to identify pathways and regulatory networks underlying daidzin-mediated growth inhibition, developmental arrest, and programmed cell death in P. capsici. These data complement chemical-genetic target identification and proteomic analyses, providing a systems-level view of OALD activation. The resulting transcriptomic resource supports mechanistic studies of oomycete cell death, host-pathogen interactions, and the development of sustainable strategies for plant disease control.
