Payments from various sources of revenue, including licensing, fines, taxes, government loans, fees, and debentures were deposited into financial institutions throughout Victoria to the credit of the Public Account. The financial institution then periodically forwarded these funds in the form of a bank cheque or bank order to the Department of the Treasurer.This series provides details of bank orders received from each financial institution, including the name of the institution, the bank order number, the amount received, and an ongoing balance of funds received from that institution.
