Dual Classified Wells

Exploratory well means a well drilled on a geological feature on which a significant discovery has not been made. Development well means a well that is so located in relation to another well penetrating an accumulation of petroleum that it is considered to be a well or part of a well drilled for the purpose of production or observation or for the injection or disposal of fluid into or from the accumulation. Delineation well means a well that is so located in relation to another well penetrating an accumulation of petroleum that there is a reasonable expectation that another portion of that accumulation will be penetrated by the first-mentioned well and that the drilling is necessary in order to determine the commercial value of the accumulation.勘探井（Exploratory well）指在尚未取得重大油气发现的地质构造上所钻探的井。开发井（Development well）指相对于另一口已钻遇油气藏的井而言，位置设置合理，用于油气生产、监测，或向该油气藏注入流体、从该油气藏排出流体的井或井段。圈定井（Delineation well）指相对于另一口已钻遇油气藏的井而言，位置设置合理，预期可钻遇该油气藏的另一区块，且钻探该井是为确定该油气藏商业价值所必需的井。
