This dataset includes near-surface (0.02 m) and near-bottom temperature measurements from Lake Janauacá, a central Amazon floodplain lake in Brazil. Data were collected during monthly campaigns between late November 2014 and early September 2016 in both the main lake and an adjoining embayment. Measurements were taken in three habitats—open water, floating plants, and flooded forests—using RBR solo thermistors (accuracy: 0.002 °C). Each netCDF file corresponds to one habitat in either the main lake or embayment and contains Julian time, surface temperature, and bottom temperature, as indicated in the file name.
