Referential of the administrative organization of the State

[The Decree of 14 March 2017](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/eli/decret/2017/3/14/PRMJ1636987D/jo/texte) established the **Public Data Service**. It makes available to the public **9 reference datasets**, including the national database of the administrative organisation of the State, produced and distributed by the Dila on its website [Service-Public.fr] (https://lannuaire.service-public.fr/). The Referential for the administrative organisation of the State, the new name for the base, includes all the institutions governed by the Constitution of the Fifth Republic and the administrations that depend on it, i.e. around 6000 bodies. The perimeter covers **the central services of the State**, up to the level of the offices. The repository includes the missions, the hierarchical organisation of the services, their full contact details and the name of their responsible person(s). The data is in json format. **Terms of reuse:** The data can be re-used free of charge under [open license v2.0] (https://www.etalab.gouv.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/ETALAB-Licence-Ouverte-v2.0.pdf). Re-users are obliged to mention: - the authorship of the data (Service-Public.fr /DILA ); - the long download access URL; - the name of the downloaded file as well as the date of the file. The re-user undertakes to take into account requests to update data published from time to time by DILA in the discussion forum of the dataset on data.gouv.fr. **_PLEASE NOTE:_A new "API Administrative Directory: geographical competence of local services" will be put into operation by DILA on API.gouv in September 2024. It is complementary to the one put into operation in December 2023 ["API Annuaire de l'administration et des services publics"](https://api.gouv.fr/les-api/api-annuaire-administration-services-publics). The new API makes it possible to know the geographical scope of jurisdiction of local services. It provides an answer for each municipality and type of service.
