ASIC - Banned and Disqualified Organisations Dataset

ASIC is Australia’s corporate, markets and financial services regulator. ASIC contributes to Australia’s economic reputation and wellbeing by ensuring that Australia's financial markets are fair and transparent, and supported by confident and informed investors and consumers.\r\n\r\nThe Banned and Disqualified Organisations Dataset file on data.gov.au is extracted from ASIC's Banned and Disqualified Registers. This dataset is a point in time snapshot of the Banned and Disqualified Organisations Register data.\r\n\r\nThe dataset provides information on organisations that are:\r\n\r\n* banned from engaging in credit activities by a State or Territory\r\n* banned or disqualified from providing financial services, and\r\n* banned or disqualified from engaging in credit activities.\r\n\r\nSelected data from the registers will be uploaded each month to www.data.gov.au. The data made available will be a snapshot of the register at a point in time. Legislation prescribes the type of information ASIC is allowed to disclose to the public.\r\n\r\nThe information in the downloadable dataset includes:\r\n\r\n* Register name\r\n* Banned and Disqualified Organisation ACN\r\n* Banned and Disqualified Organisation Name\r\n* Banned and Disqualified Organisation Type\r\n* Banned and Disqualified Organisation Url\r\n* Banned and Disqualified Organisation Start Date\r\n* Banned and Disqualified Organisation End Date\r\n* Banned and Disqualified Organisation Comment\r\n\r\nAdditional information about Banned and Disqualified Organisations can be found via [ASIC's website](http://www.asic.gov.au/ "ASIC's website").
