Arable land

National tyres data sets showing areas that during cultivation can be arranged so that they will comply with the requirements for fully cultivated soil and that meet the requirements for climate and soil quality for plant cultivation. Previously fully cultivated areas that have been cultivated again to forests have been added, while areas that have been built down or grown up have been taken out. The dataset covers mainly all land area below the tree line. Arable land may be recorded on surface-grown soils, inland pastures, forests, open solid land and marshes. FKB arable land is updated annually. The data set is derived from the old digital worm layer map (DMK). The new data set is updated mechanically with information from annual versions of land resource maps on a scale of 1:5000 (FKB-AR5). The property to be used to produce the map layer is called DYRKBARJOR in SOSI format and arable soil in gml and gdb format. Legal property values according to the arable land code list are: 82 — arable land.

Arable land is also a characteristic of the generalised land resource maps on a scale 1:50000 (AR50) and 1:250000 (AR250).
