The accession contains Bathythermograph XBT data that was sent as radio messages from ships to Ocean Products Center (OPC) between February 21 and April 1, 1990. Data was collected as part of Integrated Global Ocean Service System (IGOSS) and was received from the OPC, Camp Springs, Maryland. The data on magnetic disk with 4,457 observations sent by Mr. William D. Newell has been copied to current NODC data storage format.
