This dataset contains output from a Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model simulation conducted over the Boise Rockies in Boise, Idaho, USA. The simulation spans from November 2022 to July 2023 and has been resampled to daily resolution.
The dataset consists of eight experiments, each using different lateral boundary conditions (LBC) and microphysics schemes, as shown in the table below. The LBCs include the Climate Forecast System Reanalysis Version 2 (CFSRv2), and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis 5 (ERA5). Each experiment contains the following atmospheric and surface variables:
Variables Included:
T2: 2-meter air temperature (K)
PRCP: Accumulated total grid-scale precipitation (mm)
SWDOWN: Downward shortwave radiation flux at the surface (Wm⁻²)
CLDFRA: Cloud fraction (unitless)
SNOW: Snow water equivalent (kg m⁻²)
SNOWH: Physical snow depth (m)
