Peronospora effusa raw sequencing reads of multiple isolates and races

These whole-genome sequencing data were used to study mitochondrial and nuclear phylogenies of 16 races and eight recent field isolates of P. effusa and uncovered taxonomic discordance and signatures of admixture, which suggest that pervasive sexual recombination contributed to the evolution of resistance breaking P. effusa isolates. In addition, by using long-read sequencing data, mitochondrial assemblies for four P. effusa isolates were generated, including Pe1 the first officially delineated P. effusa races.
