Employed labour force; change of professional level

This table contains figures on the number of persons employed in paid employment who have changed their occupations. These are persons aged 15 to 75 in the Netherlands, with the exception of persons in institutions, institutions and homes (institutional population). The professional level is indicated before and after the change of profession. A change of profession involves a change of profession according to the profession classification ROA CBS 2014 (BRC). The figures are from the Occupational Population Survey (EBB).

Amendments as of 14 November 2023:
The figures for the third quarter of 2023 have been added.

Amendments as of 15 November 2022:
None, this is a new table. This table has been compiled on the basis of the Occupational Population Survey (EBB). Due to changes in the EBB’s research design and questionnaire, the figures from 2021 onwards are not necessarily comparable to the figures until 2020. The figures in this table on the active labour force have therefore been made consistent with the (non-seasonally adjusted) figures in the Labour Participation table, seasonally adjusted key figures (see paragraph 4), recalculating the results for the period 2013-2020 in order to align with the results from 2021 onwards. In further detailing the results by job and personal characteristics, there may nevertheless be differences between 2020 and 2021 as a result of the new methodology.
