Transcription regulation in heart development

Congenital heart disease occurs in approximately one in 100 births and consists of abnormalities of heart structure and function. Recent human genomic studies have revealed that mutations in transcription factors and histone modifiers are implicated in congenital heart disease. However, little is known about the molecular mechanisms of these factors to regulate transcription in heart development. To elucidate the molecular mechanisms of transcription regulation in heart development, we characterise the genome-wide localisation of cardiac transcription factors, transcription factor-associated proteins, and histone modification signatures in murine embryonic hearts. Overall Design: native ChIP-seq of multi factors and histone modifications and RNA-seq of primary embryonic cardiomyocytes.
