To isolate and characterize novel biosynthetic enzyme genes involved in the biosynthesis of aristolochic acid, which is found in Aristolochiaceae plant species and highly toxic for humans, transcriptome analysis using different tissues and cell types was performed. These data will provide us an useful information on the mechanism of aristolochic acid biosynthesis.
