Genetics of color pattern polymorphism in an Anolis lizard

This study aimed to find the genetic basis of a female-linked color pattern polymorphism in the brown anole lizard Anolis sagrei. Females of this species can either exhibit a diamond or a chevron patterning on their backs, while males invariable show the chevron markings. We used pool-seq in three consecutive generations to find candidate associated with this pattern polymorphism.
