PELD-ELPA | Ecology of Lahille's bottlenose dolphin Tursiops truncatus gephyreus in the Patos Lagoon estuary and adjacent marine coast

Data on the distribution, reproductive and survival rates and abundance of the Lahille's bottlenose dolphin, Tursiops truncatus gephyreus, inhabiting the Patos Lagoon estuary and adjacent marine coast have been collected data from August 2005 to December 2021. Data have been acquired systematically and intensively applying direct observation and photo-identification approaches. This temporal data series allowed estimating the reproductive and survival rates of calf, juvenile and adult (females and males) dolphins and total population abundance. Variability in estimates was evaluated based on the continuity of the long-term surveys carried out during this period.

自2005年8月至2021年12月，对栖息于帕托斯潟湖河口及其相邻海域的拉希勒瓶鼻海豚（Tursiops truncatus gephyreus）的分布、繁殖与存活率以及种群丰度所进行的数据收集工作已完成。数据收集工作采用直接观察和照片识别方法，系统且深入地进行。这一时间序列数据使得对幼崽、青年及成年（雌性和雄性）海豚的繁殖与存活率以及总种群丰度进行估算成为可能。在此期间进行的长期调查的连续性评估了估计值的变异性。
