Latin America and the Caribbean: beef and veal meat consumption 2023, by country

In 2023, it was estimated that Brazil was the leading consumer of beef and veal meat in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a consumption volume of about 7.62 million metric tons carcass weight equivalent (CWE). Ranking second and third were Argentina and Mexico, with 2.21 million metric tons CWE and 1.99 million metric tons CWE consumed, respectively.
