This thesis explores Process Intensification (PI) in nanoparticle synthesis using continuous flow chemistry for scalable and efficient production. It focuses on biopolymer synthesis via polymerisation-induced self-assembly (PISA) with RAFT polymerization, enabling controlled morphologies. Flow chemistry is also applied to biodegradable nanoparticle synthesis by nanoprecipitation, optimizing productivity and tunable particle size. Comparisons between batch and continuous methods highlight significant improvements in space-time yield and reproducibility. This work advances scalable drug delivery manufacturing by bridging gaps between academia and industry.
