"This synthetic executable companion is a simulator inspired by John Snow\u2019s report on the 1854 Broad Street cholera outbreak. It includes generated data, figures, and documentation that translate a landmark historical epidemiology document into an executable artifact. The model captures key elements such as the spatial distribution of residents, pump choice, contaminated water exposure, and intervention scenarios including pump-handle removal. It is intended for educational, exploratory, and reproducibility-oriented use, enabling users to inspect how the logic of a historical public health investigation can be represented computationally. Important limitations should be noted. The simulator is not a validated reconstruction of the real outbreak and does not fully represent the environmental, demographic, behavioral, clinical, and reporting complexities of 1854 Soho.
