Transcriptome sequencing of pigmented and non-pigmented rice grain using Illumina HiSeq 4000 platform.. Transcriptome analysis of pigmented and non-pigmented rice grain - focusing on antioxidant and micronutrient perspectives.

The dehusked whole rice grain from each variety were subjected for total RNA extraction using MLT method. We explored transcriptome of four pigmented rice varieties and 2 white rice varieties using Illumina HiSeq 4000 platform. We aimed to profile transcripts related to antioxidant and micronutrient traits among these rice varieties. We also identified the single nucleotide polymorphism to asses genetic variability among the six rice varieties.
