资源简介:

This work introduces a falsifiable mathematical model linking social media engagement algorithms, parasitic infections (helminths and latent Toxoplasma gondii), and mental health outcomes. The model demonstrates how “lowest common denominator” (LCD) content acts as a multiplier that drains attention resources, destabilizes pair-bonding, and amplifies impulsivity. When combined with biological parasite burdens, these dynamics elevate risks across the DSM-5-TR spectrum, including mood disorders, impulsive violence, and transactional sexual behaviors. The framework applies conservation laws and quorum thresholds to show when stability collapses, and proposes a reverse-quorum control law—reducing LCD exposure, reclaiming high-fidelity attention, and lowering biological burdens through hygiene and deworming. The model predicts restoration of pair bonds, reduced promiscuity, improved adolescent outcomes, and lower disease burdens. This paper extends earlier parasite quorum models to integrate sociology, psychology, and parasitology into one unified, testable system.
