This is a dataset of literary texts spanning the 19th and 20th centuries across English and Danish languages, named Fiction4. It includes 109 individual texts covering four literary genres: fairy tales, hymns, prose, and poetry, written by three main authors: Sylvia Plath, Ernest Hemingway, and H.C. Andersen. The texts are annotated with sentiment scores (0-10) at the sentence level by at least two annotators. Additionally, the dataset provides automatic sentiment scores via model-based and dictionary-based methods.
