Diplonemea (diplonemids) is one of the most abundant and species-richest protist groups in marine environments, but their community structures among both local and seasonal samples have not been compared so far. We analyzed four diplonemid community structures around Izu Peninsula, Japan using barcode sequences amplified from environmental DNA.
