Sound card main rail network 2016 (Lnight)

Noise map 2016 for the Dutch main track in the context of the Environmental Noise Regulation. The noise map for the main track fulfils the requirements of the Environmental Management Act resulting from the European Environmental Noise Directive. Calculated according to weighted noise load over a day (Lden) and over the night period (Lnight). About the map The map and the data come from and owned by the Ministry of Infrastructure & Environment. The sound card is made in the context of the EU sound mapping and contains sound contours ranging between 50 and 75 dB in classes of 5 db. Based on the EU regulations, the next sound mapping will cover the year 2021 and are likely to be completed and published online in 2022.
