Metabolomics Analysis for the Identification of Biomarkers in Small Cell Lung Cancer

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC), a highly aggressive malignancy with a poor prognosis is usually detected at the extensive stage of the disease. The demand for early diagnostic methods and reliable biomarkers is increasing, although a number of tumor markers such as NSE and NCAM have already been utilized in clinics. Here, we conducted untargeted metabolomics in 54 plasma samples from 34 patients with SCLC and 20 healthy controls.
