资源简介:
Food and Microbiome Longitudinal Investigation (FAMiLI) is an ongoing prospective cohort study that has enrolled a diverse cohort in the United States to study how the human microbiome and diet are related to various chronic diseases, including cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Eligible participants are at least 40 years old, not pregnant, and not using long-term antibiotics. As of January 2023, the study has recruited over 9,500 participants of varying racial/ethnic backgrounds (White, Asian, Black, and Hispanic), and nativity (U.S.-born and foreign-born). Participants provide oral and stool samples, and complete demographic and dietary questionnaires. Long-term follow-up will examine cancer and other disease outcomes.
