Seashore line affected by settlements, percentage (%)

Number of kilometres of seashore line affected by settlements divided by the number of kilometres of seashore line in total in the geographical area, on 31 December, multiplied by 100. A building has a beachfront location when it is located within a maximum distance of 100 metres from the shoreline. Shoreline refers to the dividing line where water meets land. A building is defined in accordance with the Planning and Building Act (2010:900) as a durable structure consisting of roofs or roofs and walls that is permanently located on land or partly or partly underground or permanently placed in a specific place in water and intended to be constructed so that people can reside in it. A physical building divided by property boundaries is recorded in the Real Estate Register as several buildings.
