Supporting Data for "Unpacking Adaptation in Implementation: The Case of China’s Food Safety Policy"

I extracted food safety-related documents from official websites of local governments in Guangdong province of China using web scraping techniques. These resultant documents are freely available on the internet, and will be filtered and then examined to identify hidden patterns and trends through text-as-data analysis. I also collected survey data in collaboration with the Renmin University of China with street-level organization’s leaders (directors and/or vice directors) and frontline workers across different regions in China (Gansu, Hubei, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Sichuan).

本研究通过爬取广东省地方政府官方网站的食品安全相关文件，利用网络爬取技术提取了相关数据。这些数据资源可在互联网上免费获取，经过筛选与审查，旨在通过文本数据化分析揭示其中隐含的模式与趋势。此外，本研究还与中国人民大学合作，收集了来自中国不同地区（甘肃、湖北、江苏、广东和四川）街道级组织领导（包括主任及副主任）和一线工作人员的调研数据。
