Inventory of butterflies (Lepidoptera) on two differently managed alpine pastures in the Gesäuse National Park

A total of 57 species were identified: 55 on the Kölblalm and 35 on Sulzkaralm. Of these, twelve species are considered endangered throughout Austria, two species are mentioned as particularly worthy of protection in the European Union’s Habitats Directives. There was a dominance of less, more ubiquitous and on the two alpine pastures of different species. The forage plants required by the literature are missing for some species. There is still a need for research here
