California Sales and Use Tax Rate REST API The Tax Rate API is used by Find a Sales and Use Tax rate and other web applications to determine the tax rate or rates. The API does not validate addresses. Always enter a valid address or use an address validator before sending the address to the API. The Tax Rate API is used by Find a Sales and Use Tax rate and other web applications to determine the tax rate or rates. When a California address or coordinate is sent in a request to the API, this returns the tax rate and other codes, based on a GIS map in a response. The API does not validate addresses.
