DHA (22:6n-3) is a polyunsaturated fatty acids which has beneficial effects on human as well as ruminants. However, DHA hydrogenated into saturated fatty acids in the rumen by ruminal bacteria. in this study we tried to identify potential bacterial species involved in the biohydrogenation process in the rumen.
