Sloping photo

Denmark is the first country in the world to exhibit nationwide oblique photos as free public data. SDFI has produced the nationwide oblique photos so that they can be included in the management basis for property valuations. Sloping photos are aerial photographs that depict the earth’s surface “slanted from above”, so you can see the facades of buildings from all four corners of the world. In addition to streamlining public administration tasks, the nationwide oblique photos have also provided new opportunities for private companies from planning window cleaning, setting up scaffolding and solar cells to developing new solutions for visualizations and for 3D city models. Sloping photos allow nationwide viewing of objects in the landscape obliquely from all four corners of the world. In this way, for example, the facades of buildings become clear. SDFI has produced the nationwide oblique photos as part of the management basis for VURDST's property assessments. Sloping photos contain 5 images – one pilot image and one image obliquely in the direction of each corner of the world (N, S, Ø, V). Photography and production of oblique photos took place in 2017, 2019 and 2021 and is expected to take place in 2023. Skåfoto is available via map view and download. In the oblique photo application you can find the images via an address search, and then you can see the different oblique photos in the selected area using simple navigation and zoom tools.
