Reproducibility Package for: Local Regulatory Anticipation and GHG Emissions

This dataset contains the reproduction materials for 'Local Regulatory Anticipation and GHG Emissions' (Strategic Management Journal). The package includes two facility-year panel datasets and the Stata code necessary to reproduce all tables and figures in the paper's main text. The main dataset (main_reproduction_sample.dta) covers over 2,700 U.S. facilities from 2012 to 2019 and is used to replicate Tables 1-5 and Figures 1-2. A second dataset (ghgrp_reproduction_sample.dta) covers the same facilities from 2010 to 2019 and is used to replicate Figure 3. Both datasets are constructed from publicly available data maintained by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), complemented with county-level data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. The reproduction code is organized across three do-files, called sequentially by a master do-file. All results can be reproduced by setting the root directory in master.do and running it in Stata 18. Full variable definitions, software requirements, and replication instructions are provided in the included readme file.
