A plate segment comprises a substrate (45) having a front side (38) and a back side (36)， wherein the back side (36) is configured to be mounted to a support disc (14， 20) of disperser (10); and rows (42) of teeth (26) protruding from the front side (38) of the substrate (45). The rows (42) are arranged along an arc extending from a first lateral side of the plate segment to an opposite lateral side of the plate segment. A tooth (26) in the rows of teeth (26) has a first face (69) distally disposed from a second face (53) along a tooth body having a first tooth lateral side (67) and a second tooth lateral side (88). The plate segment further comprises at least one buttress (73) which extends from the first face (69) of the tooth (26) to the substrate (45) adjacent to the first face (69) of the tooth or from the second face (53) of the tooth (26) to the substrate (45) adjacent the second face (53) of the tooth (26).
