This dataset provides the spatial distribution data of land use types in Zhifu District, Yantai City, Shandong Province, China, for the year 2016. It is vector data with attribute fields including land code, land type and others. Land types are classified at the secondary classification level into: paddy fields, dry lands, closed woodland, shrub woodland, open woodland, other woodland, high-coverage grassland, medium-coverage grassland, low-coverage grassland, rivers and canals, lakes, reservoirs and ponds, permanent glacial snow and ice, tidal flats, beach land, urban built-up land, rural settlements, other construction land, sandy land, Gobi Desert, saline-alkali land, swamp land, bare land, bare rock and gravel land, and others. Specifically, cultivated land is further categorized based on landform into paddy fields and dry lands in mountainous areas, hilly regions, plains, and slopes with a gradient greater than 25 degrees. The data scale is 1:100,000.
