Acoustical Statistics of Zebra Finch Breeding Environments

These data are from a study of the effects of the early social-acoustical environment on auditory discrimination behavior and electrophysiological responses in the auditory pallium in zebra finches. As part of this study, we made acoustic recordings from our indoor zebra finch breeding colony and from acoustic isolation boxes that prevent birds from hearing the colony noise while still exposing them to the songs and calls of their parents and siblings. This dataset includes examples from these long recordings and summary statistics of the amplitude over the course of the full recordings. The raw recording data are too large to be deposited but can be made available upon request.
